This Trail comes to us via local resident Kevin Spang. Canyons resort does not allow zip liners to stop and take a break between zips. The recommendation is to do the zip line adventure and then come up and do the lodges and reminisce. This is a summer and winter beer adventure, but you will only be able to experience the cuisine of Look Out Cabin in the winter.
Start: This beer adventure starts at LOOK OUT CABIN. Kevin says, “the views are breathtaking and it’s some of the best on mountain food I’ve had in Park City.” His wife, Julie says, “The burgers are ridiculous! They’re so good.”
Next Stop: RED PINE LODGE. Kevin says, “On a sunny day, Red Pine has a great deck to sit down and enjoy a beer.” Red Pine lodge is on the Mid Mountain Trail. This means that in the summer you can ride your bike to the lodge. For those of you who can’t fathom riding your bike up a ski hill, never fear. You can take the Gondola up. The gondola has bike carriers. You can sit on the deck and have a beer while you wait for the rest of the crew to come up. In the winter Red Pine Lodge is a hub of activity.
Last Stop: DRAFTS. Kevin says, ” Don’t miss the “Jalapeno fried mac and cheese appetizer”. “It’s incredible!” He suggests pairing the appetizer with Publican Pale Ale. “They also have some of the best burgers in town. Try the Pretzel Buns”, he adds.
We hope this adventure in a bottle on the Shades of Pale Trail is memorable, and you find it one of the best things to do in Park City. We’d love to hear from you. Come back and leave us a comment, post and photos.
